You've been blogging 10 years, wow that's a long time.
I've been online about that long, but keep finding new things to do which interest me. Not ready to retire just yet! :)

I'll never be ready to retire from this. The format doesn't matter.

G. and I drove by a really posh retirement home the other day, and reflected a bit upon that part of our 'golden years'. My first thought was: Do they have high-speed internet there??

I've been online since Dec. 1996. First blogging was in Y360 when that started.

An absolute necessity! ;)

yes, and that's something they'll have to take into consideration when it's time for our generation to go there..

that's funny... and it is certainly a thought i dont want to entertain.. because I am so dependent on it in terms of purchasing flights, buying goods, everything... i even got hired at my present job which I have now for 10 years because I was surfing on the Internet in the middle of the night and on a lark.. applied... because I wanted to work in town. she laughs..
i gave up TV and the phone plus much more.. she laughs... for the Internet..

I started on Blogger..I dont even recall how.. I just remember the black background which was irksome.. then a friend in real life invited me to 360 about a year later.

it is getting so complex... so many roads .. so many options.. i am trying to find my niche..

I can pretty much relate to all this -- especially the last portion. That's probably what I'm trying to do: finding my niche.

When I said I started blogging at Y360°, that wasn't entirely true, I realize now. LiveJournal was the first and then Blogger. It was thanks to Blogger I got my first Gmail account b.t.w. I forgot about those two blogs because I wrote, and I wrote but never had any kind of communication with anyone. It was not until Y360° that part took off.

Wow that was great Anne! Even though your job does give you headaches a lot of the time. But then they all do, methinks.

I never did like the phone. It always rings when you're trying to do something else, like take a shower. Either you're pressed for time, or the person you're calling is. That's why I've always loved email. Also I can see what I'm saying, instead a bunch of "goofy" words falling out, on their own; as sometimes happens! ;)

Yeah, really something to look forward to isn't it?!!!! (lol)

Then again, maybe all the mental activity will help keep our brains working better, longer!

That's right, I did mess around with other sites. Which did nothing for me but get me confused with their instructions.

360 was the first one I was able to get involved in, and that was only because we were all helping each other out. Anyone who figured out how something worked, immediately posted about it, and "shared the wealth"! :)

I've loved email from the get-go. It's so much less intrusive than a phone call. You read it when you want to + all the things that you said.

G. was always in amazement that I rather emailed my friends while I was still living in Sweden, instead of calling them as we lived in the same little town.

yes, that's where I got my first comment and that made all the difference. It was thanks to Y360 that I started learning PSP and all that! Had never been into that stuff before..
